City Council receives bids from 22 who want Confederate statues
To donate or not to donate?That is the question Richmond City Council may face when it comes to disposing of most of the city-owned Confederate statues.
- A reflection from a Traditionalist parish in D.C. on an Oxford Movement priest who ministered to Black Catholics in the area during the early- to mid-20th century. Though he did not desegregate his congregation, he augmented the practice of segregated seating by celebrating Mass separately for Black congregants in the church basement. He later became their pastor at a new parish in Fort Stanton, and they presumably helped donate his gravesite memorial marker.
