It’s no secret that President Donald Trump is a racist. Many MAGA Republicans are, though they may not know or care. Their position is rooted in a willful ignorance about Black people and people of color.
If they would take the time to learn a lesson on race, they would realize that ignorance, laziness, rapists, and thieves come in all colors. Being Black does not automatically make you a liar, cheater, molester, or any other title. It is ironic that Trump, our commander-in-chief, fits all those profiles and more.
Trump’s greed consumes him, and yet there seems to be no joy in it all. Even in his publicity shots, joy is rarely shown. He wants to appear as if he owns the world as king. It seems he would like to become a dictator of the worst kind. He will continue forward with determination and has no intention of stopping.
Last month, after people lost their lives in a horrible airline accident in Washington, Trump attacked Air Traffic Control personnel for their supposed incompetence. It makes one wonder how much ignorance should be allowed in the public arena on his account. Yet we all see him every day. A would-be despot signing documents, flashing his signature, and trying to sell himself. Showing up and showing out is his motto.
When Trump finally wakes up from his delusional fantasy, he just might find himself stranded on an island all by himself without anyone on his side. When the MAGA Republicans finally wake up, it will be a very rude awakening for everyone. A godless man is doomed, and Trump does not have room in his heart for God or for the victims of senseless tragedy and their families. So what makes his followers think he gives a hoot about them? It is very evident he only cares about himself.
Trump freed all the January 6th insurrectionists, including rapists and felons of the worst kind. Some of them have committed additional crimes since being released and wound up right back in prison where they belonged. The president has also threatened to fire FBI agents for alleged lack of independence, integrity, and professionalism. Go figure.
Trump seems to be against everything that our country stands for. He would like nothing more than a civil war that would regress our society for his personal benefit. Kamala Harris’ war cry was “We are not turning back.” She spoke nothing but the truth.

Trump is also trying to stop food assistance for hungry people all over the world. This, and many other Project 2025 endeavors, will only serve to prove why most people do not like him, including some Republicans who voted for him.
Others, like Mitch McConnell, a 40-year U.S. senator from Kentucky, will apparently do anything to remain in power, even endure Trump’s slurs against his wife, Elaine Chao. McConnell was instrumental in Trump's rise to power and helped usher in an era of deep polarization in the United States. Before, he was an advocate for Civil Rights and disliked Trump. However, he seized what he needed for power.
“Peel, discard, and move on.” Apparently, Trump no longer needs McConnell—the same senator who tried to keep President Barack Obama from serving a second term, and who blocked Merrick Garland from being appointed as a Supreme Court justice.
Even so, Trump and McConnell are like two peas in a pod. The shoots from their sprouts have created devastating circumstances. They should not be so proud of their dirty deeds. Their legacies will be forever stained by bloodshed, lies, and deceit.
Trump is hanging on by a thread, living a life of mistrust and fear. The key question is this: Who can he really trust? All the people around him are just like him, greedy and godless. He does not have God in his life and he can’t pray to himself.
He does not realize that love is a powerful tool. If he did, he would consider who he surrounds himself with. If Trump loved and served all the people, then they would love him back. For change to come, Trump needs to acknowledge our diverse world. God did not make a world where skin color determines the character of one over the other.
Ultimately, to “Make America Great Again” should not mean defying the teachings of the word of God. I hope the president will learn this lesson soon.
