Never again a repeat of history: The scourge of Trump in an age of war

We live in a turbulent world on the verge of a civil war. War is all around us and striking close to home every day, even as we are in the throes of voting for a new president. It is a mind-blowing thought, if you recall the horror of the Jan. 6, 2021, uprising, all with the pretext of a “stolen election.”

There is absolutely no excuse whatsoever for all government officials, police officers, and the National Guard not to be on high alert for a repeat of the insurrection. It must never happen again. The United States cannot let a deranged president rule the country according to his rules.

It is beyond the pale that the Republicans would again vote for a mentally deranged man like former President Donald Trump. Spending millions of dollars, not for the necessities of health care, food, housing, climate change, and education. but to provide funds to keep Trump out of jail and pay off lawyers and all his many other debts incurred. It seems as if this is the most highly privileged White man in the world. What’s more, he is making immigrants his high priority simply because of the possibility of color change, or the browning of America.

They are not taking Black people’s jobs, never mind the misconceptions and lies about immigrants being murderers and thieves. What about Europeans? Do they not require visas? Or does the color of their skin release them from all scrutiny?

Are the Republicans so racist and highly privileged that they would spend all their money to not let Blacks and people of color in? All this while using five- and ten-dollar donations from poor White people who are racist and ignorant. The rich get richer, and the poor White and Black people get poorer. And please do not forget the ignorant misguided people of color who stand so proudly in front of the Trump rallies. It gives you pause to wonder: Did Trump pay for their services, and if so, just how much?

It recalls the time of slavery, when the poorest of White and Black people were on the same platform. That is, until the poor Whites decided that despite how bad off they were, it was a better state than people of color and not in the same category as Black people. In fact, in many cases they were worse off than Blacks, but the door of opportunity was always open to White comers.

Trump has vowed to free all the Jan. 6 insurrectionists if he regains the presidency. God forbid that this should happen. He has also vowed to come after everyone who has wronged him. He is an evil, driven man and means every word he says.

It is a shame that people like Trump can only see the bad in others but never in himself. He has watched people die under his watch. Seen them jailed, sexually assaulted women, and promoted the assault on the capitol. The evil in him will not allow him to stop. He will never give up.

His father did not raise him as a father should raise a son. Trump did not have the skills to raise his family as a father would. It makes you wonder about what the outcome will be for his children.

He has a son, Barron, by his wife Melania, and a daughter, Tiffany, with Marla Maples. You never see either of them by his side very much, although Tiffany speaks highly of her father. His favorite seems to be Ivanka, a businesswoman and model, walking in her father’s footsteps.

Barron is kept under very close watch by his mother Melania. Trump does not like imperfection. He has two children, Tiffany and Barron, who apparently do not fit into his category of perfection. Yet Trump believes he is the embodiment of imperfection. He believes he is perfect; he is not.

His mind is like a tinderbox of lies that he uses every single day to spread confusion and discontent. If any person does not see the need to vote to keep Trump out of office, then maybe they have drunk the poison of ignorance. Power and ignorance do not work well together.

One thing is for sure, we pray to never have another uprising in the United States ever again. Or another president like Trump—a man without morals, empathy, and plain old common sense.
